Sizzling BBQ

We call Korean Sizzling BBQ as “Bulgogi”. Bulgogi literally means “fire meat” in Korean, which refers to grilling over an open flame. Before cooking, the meat is marinated to enhance its flavour and tenderness in the signature CEENA’s BBQ sauce, a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, herbs, sweets from natural fruits.

Bulgogi is believed to have originated during the Goguryeo era (37BC–668AD) in the history of Korean peninsula. It was called neobiani (너비아니), meaning “thinly spread” meat, in the Yi Dynasty (1392-1910AD) and was traditionally prepared especially for the wealthy and the nobility class.
At CEENA, we offer more than ten kinds of sizzling BBQs from beef short rib, beef feather blade, chicken thigh, pork belly, salmon to squid.

Sizzling Bibimbap

Bibimbap is a flagship dish from Korean dining table. The word, Bibimbap literally means “mixed rice”. It is served as a bowl of hot steamed rice topped with Namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and Gochujang (red pepper sauce). For visual appeal, the vegetables are often placed so that adjacent colors complement each other.
At CEENA, we show five colors from the top of the bowl of this recipe. A raw or fried egg and BBQ meat are common additions. The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. Served in a heated heavy stone pot. You may enjoy the sizzling hotness to the end of the meal. You may enjoy various kinds of Bibimbap bowls; beef, chicken, pork belly, squid, fresh tofu, mushrooms, seafoods and sautéed Kimchi with pork.
Bibimbap was first mentioned in the Siuijeonseo, an anonymous cookbook from the late 19th century. Since the late 20th century, it has been widespread throughout the nation. It is also served on many airlines connecting to South Korea such as Lufthansa and Korean Air.
